“Unfortunately, most websites are appallingly bad at what they are supposed to do: inform, influence or persuade as many people as possible.” – Drayton Bird
It is sad that most websites don’t actually achieve their intended purpose. The vast majority of websites exist in a state of cyber oblivion, where their target audience doesn’t realize the website exists or the website can’t be found easily. In both these scenarios the website adds little to no value for both the owner and the intended website viewers.
Websites are only as strong as their weakest link, meaning most websites can be greatly improved with a little effort. However, there are many snake oil salesman out there who promise to market your website or perform Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to improve the sites results in the Search Engines.
SEO is not an instant fix or even going to add value to your website if your website lacks the ability to turn visits into conversions. Conversions are whatever you want your viewers to do, buy something online, fill in a form, or contact you directly.
